For families and individuals affected by TSC
Advice and support Our team of Specialist Advisers provide information, advice and support on the telephone, by email and through home visits. They can liaise with professionals to ensure that you or your child with TSC is getting the best service, whether that be health services, education or social care.
Published information Other pages in this section of the website contain a wealth information that you can download about many aspects of TSC.
Support from others Members of the association have the opportunity to meet together at our very popular events, see the TSA events listing for details of forthcoming events. Also our online discussion forum helps people to make connections and provides support whether they are a parent, a person with TSC or a sibling.
Financial help Our Benevolent Fund exists to help in cases where there is a special need for equipment or help which is not fully catered for by statutory services. Click here for more information.
For Professionals
Information The TSA produces a large selection of published information much of which can be downloaded from this website. There is an illustrated medical brochure for doctors, leaflets specially written for nurses and facsheets on a variety of topics (eg. epilepsy, behaviour, skin treatment, brain imaging). Our Specialist Advisers are available to answer any questions you may have and can refer to members of our Professional Advisory Board who are leading TSC experts.
Specialist clinics A number of specialist TSC clinics are located around the country. See the TSC clinics page for more information
Training: Study Days for professionals are held throughout the year, see the TSA events listing page for details of forthcoming events. Specialist Advisers are also available to visit residential homes and schools to give talks and training sessions on TSC.
Research A variety of research continues to be funded by the TSA. See the research section of the website for more information.
