Registration for the Welsh Info Day, taking place Saturday 28 SeptemberĀ at University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff, is now open! Free tickets can be registered via Eventbrite here.
The Welsh Info Day is an opportunity for the TSC community in Wales to attend and participate in a range of interesting talks and networking sessions, all focused around living with TSC and being a resident in Wales.
TSA and external speakers are planned for the event, including Emma Hughes (Policy and Engagement Manager, Genetic Alliance Wales) and the Cardiff TSC clinic. A healthy portion of the dayā€™s agenda will allow for group discussions and networking, so that old and new friends alike can get to know others who understand the impact of TSC in Wales.
A full agenda for the event will be shared very soon.
Louise Fish, Chief Executive of the TSA, commented: ā€œHosting flagship events for TSC communities across the different UK nations is one of the central points of the TSAā€™s new five-year strategy to ā€˜REACH more people and drive more REseArCH.ā€™ The Welsh Info Day is an important part of this, where people living in Wales can meet other individuals and families living with TSC and discuss how best to access treatments, care and support in Wales specifically.ā€
Community members who are interested in attending the Welsh Info Day but require financial assistance in order to do so should contact Ellie Russell (TSA Adviser, Wales) to discuss the TSA support fund.
