The TSA is delighted to announce that Maxine Smeaton is now in post as Interim CEO of the Tuberous Sclerosis Association.
Maxine, former CEO of renowned medical research charity Blond McIndoe, will be leading the TSA for the next 12 months while CEO Louise Fish is on maternity leave with her second child.
‘I am delighted to be the TSA’s new Interim CEO and working with the whole TS community,’ said Maxine, who has also worked in strategic development for the Royal Mencap Society and Action for Children.
‘My background is in working with people with disabilities and health related conditions and I am passionate about the Importance of providing quality support to people affected by the condition and really importantly the people around them – including family, carers and professionals.
I hope that the my experience working in this sector will ensure the TSA community feel confident that they are in safe hands during this short period.
My first task will be to launch and implement the TSA’s new 5 year strategy and I’m really looking forward to being out on the road and meeting as many of you as possible very soon.
