Claire works with the Belfast clinic and with the local regional group. Claire works on a 1-1 basis on the more complex cases, and helps families and individuals navigate their way through the various health, social care and education issues that they face.

Claire's says:
“I am a registered Genetic Counsellor and was previously employed by the Northern Ireland Regional Genetics Service and the Department of Clinical Genetics, Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin, Dublin. My role in Northern Ireland was to coordinate a research study for children with rare genetic developmental disorders. In Dublin, I ran a Neurofibromatosis (NF) clinic, providing genetic counselling to patients and their families and organising onward referrals for screening. This post was funded by an NF charity and I enjoyed working with the charity members; providing information and support to patients and their families, attending conferences and meetings on their behalf and liaising with other professionals for their benefit. NF is a very similar genetic condition to Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and now I enjoy working for #TeamTSA, getting to know people with TSC and their families.”
