We are excited to be welcoming adults with TSC to our Outlook event, offering you the opportunity to meet, share your experiences, make new friends and attend fun and useful workshops.
The organisers of the event, the Tuberous Sclerosis Association, will provide speakers, volunteer event organisers and a member of staff to oversee the activities. We do not provide support workers or carers for people attending this event. We are unable to take responsiblity for any vulnerable adult. The definition of a vulnerable adult is someone who is over the age of 18 who is or may be in need of community care services by reason of disability, age or illness; and is or may be unable to take care of themselves independently. Therefore, if you or the person you care for requires support with day-to-day activities or with participation in the event you will be required to provide that care over the course of the event and your stay. If you are new to the group you, or are registering interest on behalf of someone you care for, will be contacted in order to assess your needs and to discuss the activities.
The cost for attending Outlook is free. However, there is an additional charge of £15 to attend the exclusive evening of private dining with a 3-course meal provided with your fellow Outlookers (places are limited). There will be bar meals available for those that do not want to attend the Outlook private dinner.
The TSA provides a support fund to assist members of the TSC community who otherwise could not afford to attend this event. You can read more about this, find out if you’re eligible to apply, and make an application here: www.tuberous-sclerosis.org/tsa_support_fund If you require help with this application contact your regional TSA Adviser who you can find here: www.tuberous-sclerosis.org/tsa_advisers
This celebratory sparkling event will showcase our #40Stories from the last 40 years of the TSA. There will be an exhibition of pictures and presentations, and the artwork from our Outlook group for mildly affected adults with TSC. All TSA Big Day guests are welcome to attend.
As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations we are hosting this one-off fundraiser. Participants will receive a full briefing before walking over the embers in a show of TSC solidarity and to raise much needed funds. If you’re interested in the Firewalk on Friday 22nd September at 9pm. For more information on this event please contact Fundraising Officer, Kathryn Harrison:

Outlook art competition
Back again for 2017 we will be hosting an art competition. The theme this year is ’40 years of friendship and support’. You can create and submit anything, from poems and creative writing to drawings and paintings. You will need to bring this with you when you attend the event. Everyone’s artwork will be displayed at the 40th Anniversary celebration reception.
