Carer's Parliament - November 2

One of the Scottish Government's key manifesto commitments was to establish a Carers Parliament. This is a forum providing carers, young carers, and carer representatives from across Scotland an opportunity to discuss and debate matters important to them.  



Independent Living Fund - Useful information 

The Independent Living Fund is still in existence in Scotland and Northern Ireland, even though it has been scrapped in England and Wales.   



Consultation on Social Security in Scotland

A consultation is now taking place on the future of Social Security in Scotland. It will be used by the Scottish Government to decide on the primary legislation Bills/Acts) to be introduced to the Scotland Parliament by June 2017.     

 

Shared Care Scotland!

Taking a break means a carer and the person they care for being supported to have a break from their normal routine and the often stressful demands of their caring situation. People without a carer can also benefit from a break from their home circumstances.

Help us celebrate our 40th birthday
