Hi, this is my first post for a long time. Spurred on by a recent appointment for my daughter with her Paediatric Neurologist. He comes to our local hospital for a clinic from Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool and he asked me if I thought people who lived in Merseyside/NW England would be intersted if he set up a TS Specialist Clinic in the area. He asked if I would put it on the forum and see what response it got. From what I understand his aim would be to have a clinic once a year or so where a few of the local medical 'experts' were all there at the same time and the clinic was specifically for people/families affected by TS. Anyway if you are from that area and would be interested perhaps you could post a reply and I'll let him know.
Thanks for reading

Hello,

Just to add to this post, Dr Appleton has contacted the TSA to be involved in this clinic which will see people from the Liverpool/Merseyside region.

The clinic will be held 4 times a year and the first is planned for Autumn this year. The clinic will be supervised by a Consultant Community Paediatrician and she will be accompanied by a clinical psychologist, Dr Appleton and a TSA TSC Adviser. There will be direct and ‘easy’ access to all other specialists involved with the children and their families – renal, dermatology, ophthalmology, genetics and oncology.

So, it is all very exciting. If you are based in this region and would be interested to hear more (and have a definite diagnosis of TSC) please do post a reply.
