TSC genetics centre wins prize
Cardiff University’s Institute of Medical Genetics has won the Queen’s Anniversary prize for excellence in higher education for its work in identifying genetic causes of diseases, including TSC, and developing new diagnostic tests and treatments.
Set up in 1987, the Institute has identifed genes linked to TSC and other conditions including bowel cancer, Huntington’s Disease, muscular dystrophy and polycystic kidney disease.
